(More customer reviews)1. Take the filter out, go outside to your garbage can, and bang the filter hard against the inside of the can 3-4 times. Rotate filter 15 degrees, bang 3-4 times. Keep going until nothing comes out (may take 5 minutes or more!)
2. Buy a new one every 1-2 years anyway.
Bottom line: The Panasonic vacs are fantastic, but you have to maintain your filters. Buy the HEPA filter ever 1-2 years too-check your manual.
